Adoption of the Texas UST Operator Training Rules

The Texas Commision on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)  has adopted Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) rules implementing UST operator training, as required by the federal 2005 Energy Policy Act.  The rules also clarify existing requirements in the areas of secondary contaiment, sumps, and corrosion protection.  The rules go into effect on March 17, 2011, and the deadling to be certified as a UST operator is Aguust 8, 2012.   Contact TAIT for more information about getting certified in Texas via email (Andy Tait at atait@tait.com) or select the Contact Me tab on the right side of this page.
